Kaleidostar
Kaleidostar is a Pa Bred, Pa sired 2yo by Polish Rifle a son of Polish Numbers. Polish Rifle's first foals were 2-year-olds of 2009. Our big gelding, was purchased "broke and galloping". We took a chance at auction but our high bid did not reach the reserve. A private deal was made after the sale to purchase the colt. Prior to the purchase we had an opportunity to visit with the horse. We not only watched him gallop but had one of our trainers get on and ride him. Our thought process was to take a chance and buy a Pa Bred, Pa Sired 2yo at a low price provided his conformation, size and the way he traveled met to our liking. Having an unproven sire is also a chance we like to take. You never know. Our Khrysty was from the first crop of Newfoundland. Kaleidostar met the criteria and is now part of Renpher Stable. Hard work paid off, as "Kal" broke his maiden by 9 1/2 lengths 10/22/10. On January 15th he drew clear for his 2nd lifetime win in 8 starts. Kal was feeling real good about himself. So much so we wheeled him right back a week later. Something we rarely do. He rewarded our confidence in him with back to back victories. Our $1450 purchase now has earnings over $36,000!
